Classroom Shopping in Argentina!

As any fellow immersion teachers can relate, the chance to be in a country of your target language is a shopping gold mine for classroom materials. It is very hard to find inexpensive content resources in other languages in the US.

I'm so happy to be here in Argentina, my husband's homeland, and my luck is even better because my sister-in-law is an art teacher and has been an awesome shopping partner these past few days. Here are a few pics of my purchases:

Cool Science Magazines by Genios

Neat Review Game - You touch the definition with the right answer and the light at the top lights up. This will double as an awesome illustration of a circuit when we learn about electricity.

My hubby trying to be patient - school shopping is not his thing!

Adorable Childrens' Books

Science and Spanish Language Books

I met with an English teacher here, Evangelina Castano, and she was so kind to give me these Spanish materials. Así son los maestros.

Tomorrow we are heading to Buenos Aires. Here's hoping I won't run into anything else I have to have for my classroom :P. But these opportunities are rare, so I know I have to take advantage.

Hope your summer is going great!
